Minnesota is known as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” but they are quickly becoming known for their great coffee scene too. Check out these 10 shops to find out why!
Peace Coffee
One of the first shops to bring specialty coffee to the Twin Cities, Peace Coffee has done great things to promote responsible sourcing of coffee, both here and elsewhere in the Midwest. Their unpretentious shops are neighborhood staples all over the city.
Quixotic
Quixotic is all about cold brew and nitro coffee, with rotating varieties that are always on-season. Their amazing food menu is a hidden gem in a neighborhood full of restaurants, and it’s a great place to grab a coffee while you shop in Highland Park.
Caydence Records & Coffee
Do you like records? How about creative and delicious coffee concoctions? If so, you’ll love Caydence’s record store/coffee shop combo. Check out their calendar too – they’re always throwing great concerts!
T-Rex Coffee & Cookie Cafe
T-Rex’s “as big as your face” cookies are so attention-grabbing that it’s easy to miss their serious coffee menu. This is one of the only spots in the Twin Cities where you can get an Aeropress.
The Buzz Coffee & Cafe
The Buzz is bringing specialty coffee to the burbs! We love them for their incredible waffles and cupcakes, and they have some of the friendliest baristas around.
Roundtable Coffee Works
With a very cool “tasting room” setup, Roundtable gives you a front row seat to the coffee production process. As their website puts it, “good coffee stems from appreciation.”
Carma Coffee
Owned by a husband and wife team, who also own Good Carma Auto Repair next door, Carma Coffee is the definition of a neighborhood coffee shop. Come here for great coffee and community engagement.
Humble Cup
This 7 Corners shop is a favorite for University of Minnesota students who need some space to get to work. They’ve got tons of seating, tasty and affordable snacks, and best of all, blackboard walls.
Carley Coffee
This hip, cozy spot in the heart of Uptown has everything you need: a parking lot, a fireplace, tons of tables, and free WiFi. Even better, the stellar baristas exemplify “MN nice.”
Empire Coffee & Pastry
Empire is run by two sisters with complementary skillsets: one specializes in French baking, and the other is an expert on specialty coffee. It’s a potent combination that’s amplified by beautiful naturally-lit spaces, and at their Stinson location, one of the best patios in the city.
There’s no coffeeahop that’s mentioned from the Northside of Minneapolis and there are tons, how come they werent mentioned.
