Nashville Coffee: The Lowdown On Some Of Music City USA’s Best Coffee Shops

We heard a li’l somethin’ somethin’ about that trademarked Southern hospitality, so we took a road trip down to Music City, USA to check out another amazing coffee scene. Y’all can’t miss these shops in Nashville.

Bongo Java

In 1996, Bongo Java gained worldwide attention for serving a cinnamon bun that looked vaguely like Mother Teresa. While the beloved bun itself was sadly stolen in 2005, the original shop still serves up a saintly latte and breakfast all day.

Crema

That new neighborhood flow

Crema’s got it all: award-winning coffee, their own roastery, specialty coffee classes, and a space you’ll be proud to Instagram. Better yet, grab a Cuban and some avocado toast and enjoy the view from their deck, because who doesn’t want a little dulce de leche with their afternoon caffeine fix?!

Ugly Mugs

We know y’all love the Nashville music scene, and Ugly Mugs is no exception. Come for the coffee, stay for the weekly music showcases. (We’ll even let you in on a little secret: their mugs are actually pretty cute.)

Three Brothers Coffee

Happy Sunday! Have you stepped outside yet? We advise it before it gets too hot and muggy. Make us your first stop and get #ventureready

Camping trip coming up? The owners of local outdoor outfitters Cumberland Transit opened Three Brothers Coffee next door, making sure all the adventurers in Nashville have a convenient (and #aesthetic) spot to caffeinate before getting their shop on.

Dose

Serving up Counter Culture beans on the daily alongside a rotating list of featured roasters, Dose keeps it interesting so your caffeination routine never gets boring. How bout that hot vs. iced struggle? Try the Two Ways and get an espresso shot paired with a mini iced coffee.

Revelator

Revelator’s philosophy is all about that Southern hospitality we mentioned earlier, so don’t be surprised when your barista knows their coffee and *gasp* your name. Try a specialty drink like The Weekender: a perfect espresso shot poured over a glass of tangerine juice, sparkling water, half and half and a teeny bit of vanilla. Better to drink or to Instagram? ¿Por que no los dos?

Steadfast

Coffee shop by day and cocktail bar by night, Steadfast has all your cravings covered. Flash-chilled coffee? Aged coffee? Coffee soda? They’ve got it all – and then some.

Frothy Monkey

So what exactly is a frothy monkey? We’re not totally sure, but we do know that y’all have been lovin’ this coffee conscious, community-driven shop since 2004. Pair a turtle latte with your fave brunch special and call it a day. (And trust us – no real turtles were harmed in the making of this latte).

The Well Coffeehouse

Come in today for some coffee with a big smile! ✌🏼️

Need a mood boost alongside your caffeine boost for the day? Grab a coffee from The Well and feel good doing it – all of the proceeds from the shop’s sales go toward building wells in impoverished communities around the world.

Whether you’re a Belmont student dying to study (lol) or you just wanna sit and chat over coffee, Portland Brew’s got you. The walls are lined with local art and the coffee comes PNW style – who could say no?
