Get your final fix of Vitamin D along with your caffeine!

Fall may be upon us, but sun is still in every day of the 10-day forecast. It’s time to soak in the last of the rays while reading a book or chatting with a friend over coffee (dare we say we are nearing the end of iced-drink weather as well?!). Here are a few of the city’s best coffee shops with outdoor seating.

Little Zelda

While the outdoor seating area at this Crown Heights outpost may be as small as it’s name, it makes up in charm for what it’s lacking in expansiveness. Sit outside on the patio of Little Zelda and enjoy some people watching and baby watching, as well as enjoy the delicious Toby Estate coffee. And they take CUPS!

Intelligentsia Coffee

This rockin’ coffee shop is nestled in the High Line hotel. Grab a great cup of coffee and head out to their beautiful garden. With lots of seating options, strong wifi, and a quiet retreat from the busy streets of NYC, you can hideaway for a while before anyone finds you. Just passing by? They also have a truck!

Blue Bottle at the High Line defines an outdoor cafe: the whole thing is outside! While strolling the beautiful and ever popular High Line park, grab some Blue Bottle coffee to accompany your walk. Blue Bottle is right above 15th street and at the beginning of the High Line, so it will propel you for the rest of your visit.

Wafels and Dinges

This NYC food-truck favorite has expanded to outposts throughout the city! One of the popular favorites is the location in Bryant Park, because visitors can chose from a delicious coffee or an Iced Belgian Hot Cocoa (yes, it’s as good as it sounds) and sit on the grass or at a nearby table. Sip. Soak in the sun. Repeat.

If you find yourself in Williamsburg, run, don’t walk, to Caprices by Sophie. In addition to their delectable pastries and La Colombe coffee, they have a quaint and large backyard. With plenty of seating off the street, this coffee shop does not disappoint if you want to get in some relaxing outdoor time before winter rolls in.
